Gale Boomerang – the baboon throws the boomerang

Proceed to the left and grab the bomb spider. Drop the bomb below and it will explode the plant. Simply fall down there and open the chest in the alcove. You are now the proud owner of a heart piece. Go back to the main room that has all the doors. Go back to the outside area and prepare for revenge.

Your new monkey friends would like to reiterate that the baboon that knocked down the bridge earlier does not represent all of their kind. They help you cross the chasm, where you will meet up again with the preposterous baboon. Enter the room at the end and prepare for battle, son.

After the baboon throws the boomerang, roll into the totem pole twice, disorientating him and knocking him to the ground. As he is on the ground, lose yourself in a fit of rage and slash him as many times as you can. Hit him a couple more times for good measure and in the process you will have acquired the Gale Boomerang.

Head over to the closed door and throw the boomerang at the switch above three times. Go to the previous area and throw the boomerang at the switch above the bridge. This rotates the bridge so that you may now cross it and encounter another caged monkey. Hit the rope holding the cage with the boomerang to free him.

 Head right and hit the switches to cross the bridge. On the other side, enter the room and head to the room with the water. Aim your boomerang to blow out the torches and the stairs will lower. Another heart piece is yours by opening the chest in the alcove behind.

Key Eating Plant – Legend of Zelda Walkthrough

Drop down to the bottom floor and fireman roll into the totem pole to make a chest fall down. There is another small key inside. Cross the bridge above the water, dodge the weird guy and light two torches to activate platforms. You can obtain a red rupee by climbing the vines to the left and opening the chest at the top. Climb up the stairs and eliminate the spider guarding the monkey. After killing it, use your key to open the cell and free another monkey.

Head back to the previous room and climb some more vines to your left. You’re going to need to take down two spiders with your slingshot before you can get to the vines. After climbing the vines, go through the door to find that caged monkey you were looking for. You’ll encounter a bully plant who likes to dine on keys.

To kill this creature, wait until it tries to slam you with its head and then slash it. Keep doing this until you knock it down.  Grab a spider bomb and throw it on the plant to make it explode. The foliage just got exfoliated! Grab your key back and free the monkey. Head back into the previous room for some more adventure.

Spider Bombing

Cross the footbridge and be prepared for it to collapse after your crossing. Jump down and roll into the totem pole to knock down the cage, freeing the monkey. Two creatures will come after you with bad intent, make short work of these punks. There is a chest underneath the footbridge that contains a yellow rupee. Follow that monkey up the wooden pathway and use the swinging trick to cross the gap where the bridge fell. Go back to the main room that has a bunch of doors. The monkeys will swing you to a new room where you’ll need to burn down a spider web to enter.

 Go up the stairs and to the left to find another spider who moonlights as a bomb factory. Slash it once and pick up the bomb and carry it to the right. Drop the bomb on the plant below the gap to make it blow up. Head back to the spider and fancy you another bomb. Grab the bomb and carry it as you run and jump across the gap. Throw the bomb at the boulder on the ledge to make it explode. There will be a door here to enter. This ground may have once served as a secret monkey training facility as there is another caged monkey in this room.

More Monkey Business

Head towards the first room straight ahead and climb the vines to your left. At the top you’ll find a chest where you can grab a yellow rupee. At the back of the room, your favorite animal the monkey will need to be freed from the cage. While you’re there, you might as well shoot down the two spiders on the vines behind and follow the monkey up the vines.

Proceed through the gate and around the stairway to slash the spider on the left. You might notice that the spider turned into a bomb; take the spider bomb and throw it at the cracked wall. There will be a chest behind the wall containing a red rupee. Go ahead and grab that.

The huge spider will need to be slashed before you can head up the stairway. Light the four torches using your lantern which will make the platform rise. There will be a chest to the left of the door containing a map. Grab the map and go through the door. I’m not sure why you keep freeing the monkey because now he took down the bridge, seemingly your only path around.

Does the monkey have bad pictures of you or something? Go back inside and find another way around. Follow the monkey and jump towards her to swing to another door. You’ve got to press the A button at the right time to jump and go through the door.

While in this room, head right and slash another spider which will turn into a bomb. The bomb will explode, revealing a secret alcove. Smash open the jars and obtain the Ooccoo. Head back and left and burn down the spider web with the lantern. Go straight, across platforms and through the door. Now go across the spinning bridge and proceed through the door ahead.

The chest on the right will contain a small key which you should grab. Return to two rooms ago and ready your slingshot. Shoot down the spider and cross the gap on the right. Unlock the door and head into a new room, with your lock there is probably a caged monkey in there.

Monkey Help and New Skills

Take your lantern out but be prepared for the monkey from earlier to snag it from you. Tail the monkey but you’ve got to keep close through the mist. Maybe her attitude will change as you get rid of enemies for her.

The monkey is going to drop the lantern at the end of the path so remember to pick it up. Maybe she was being contrite or maybe that was her way of helping out, either way you’re through the fog.  Follow the path to the left and go to Trill’s shop. If you didn’t buy the second oil bottle for your lantern earlier, you’ll need to purchase some now.

Run up and head towards the temple where a wolf will stop you. The wolf will send you to a world above where you will have a chance to learn some new skills. Follow the instructions and you will have knowledge of the Ending Blow. Head up the path when you are back in the woods and burn the spider web with your lantern. Welcome to Forest Temple

The Final Tears

Use little Midna and jump across the tree trunks in the water. Cross through the branches and go towards the top. There is going to be a swinging log on your path so you may want to avoid that. At the entrance of the cave down on the ground, two more insects are waiting for you but they think they are sneaky.

Activate wolf senses to locate the insects that are underground. Dig over to them and eliminate them, collecting the tears. Make your way into the cave for some fun filled shadow creature fighting. Beat them the same way as previously. If you remember where you found the monkey earlier, head down that same path and guess what? Insects! Defeat the final two and you will have acquired all the tears.

After collecting all the tears, original form Link is back in his own world. Make your way through the path and you will see that somehow the cave has been locked. Take the path you took earlier to find the lantern man, chat him up again and this time he will present to you a small key. The Oil Bottle can be purchased if you have 100 rupees with you. Take the key and head back to unlock the gate. Proceed through the cave and into the swamp.

Tear Gathering

Go up the path on the northern wall to capture the first two insects. Defeat them and collect the tears.  Keep treading the path and when you get to the locked gate hang a left. Hug the wall and the left and go up to the house after running across the ramp. You’ll need Midna’s help to leap over to the window and into the house.

 Two insects will appear if you use your wolf senses to talk to the merchant. Beat some sense into the insects and you’ll collect two more tears. Leave the house the same way you came in after collecting the tears. Go around to the wall on the other side and ram into it, this will make the overhead insect will fall and await your beating. Collect the tear and go back to the locked gate. Do what a good wolf does and dig at the hole to the right to climb underneath the gate. Two insects on the other side would gladly exchange you tears if you kill them.

Head to the cave and through there you will end up in the swampland. There are two insects on the wall to the left but you’ll have to use the attack Midna showed earlier to get them down. If you are afraid to try new things, the old fashioned wall ramming will do the trick. Collect the tears and cross the swamp and go left. Stand on the stump and jump above the water. Now use Midna to jump the water and run up the cliff. Go towards the pillars protruding from the water and kill three more tear insects.

The Vessel of Light

The Faron Woods have changed since the last time you visited them. Midna has been doing a good job helping you and now she is going to request that you scratch her back. Find all the items that she requests. Keep heading on the path until you find yourself in a jam. You’ll eventually be trapped and forced into battle. Throw a good beating their way, but no matter how many you take down, there going to keep coming at you. Finally, Midna comes to your assistance. All three enemies need to be trapped at the same time; this can be done by pressing and holding the B button.  Release the B button when you have all of them corralled and they will turn into ashes. Scurry down the path towards the light spirit who will present you with the Vessel of Light. You can collect tears by using the vessel. Tears will be in insect form and you’ll need to defeat the insect in order to acquire the tear. You must use your wolf senses to view the tears.

Obtaining the Sword and Shield

Next, head over to the waterwheel and leap up. Go to the roof of the watermill and proceed through the opening at the absolute top. Hop on up the table and Midna will eye the shield for you. Leap from the edge of the table over to the shield with Midna’s assistance. When you are at the wall, bash on it a couple times and the shield will fall to you. Pick up the shield, it is known as the Ordon Shield. Exit by the window and follow the path of the river. Your destination is a house in the corner to your left at the very end of the river. Use your wolf senses and scour the region by the house. There will be a spot where you can dig next to a pile of wood on the right side of the house. The digging gives you access into the house. Next to the couch is the Ordon Sword, your next item to grab. Once you have the sword, exit the house through the previous hole you dug. After exiting the house, head into the woods and towards the pond. There is going to be an evil creature waiting for your arrival and it wouldn’t hurt to kill him. Once you beat the shadow creature, a cut scene will appear. Watch the scene then head across the bridge on your right. Get ready because you’re geared up and heading back to the Twilight Realm.
